The Glory of Team Rocket (SV10) is the first big villain set in years, with Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SAR as the undisputed top card. The set was released in Japan on April 18, 2025. Team Rocket takes center stage — including Giovanni himself.
What is in the box
- 30 packs per box, 5 cards per pack
- 132 cards: 98 in the main set, plus 34 secret rares
- All Trainer cards support the Team Rocket mechanic
The chase cards
Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SAR is the undisputed top card. Since the first generation, Mewtwo has been one of the most collected legendary Pokémon, and the Team Rocket version gives it a completely new context.
In addition, Giovanni SAR, Team Rocket's Moltres ex SAR and Team Rocket's Crobat ex SAR are in high demand. Full-art Trainer cards have their own, very active market in Japan anyway — and within it, Giovanni is a name everyone knows.
Why a villain set works differently
There are plenty of sets around the players and their Pokémon. A set that revolves entirely around the opponent is rare, and that makes it interesting for collectors.
Moreover, the theme appeals to a broader group than just active players. For many people, Team Rocket is the first thing they remember about Pokémon — the anime series, the motto, Jessie and James.
What you need to know
This is a regular main set, not a High Class Pack. Thirty packs of five cards, and no guaranteed hit per pack. You open longer, with more suspense per pack, but without the certainty a High Class Pack offers.

Who is this set for?
Nostalgic collectors — Team Rocket, Giovanni, Mewtwo. Few themes strike that chord so directly. You will find other sets among all Japanese sets.
Rippers — thirty packs is a long, classic opening. Feel free to compare it with any other Pokémon booster box in the shop.
Trainer card collectors — the Giovanni cards are the goal here.
